For a little fresh air and scenery, there’s nothing better than a visit to one of Louisville’s great parks. The parks offer a variety of paths for hiking, biking, walking and running – all surrounded by nature’s finest. Plus, each location has special amenities such as picnic pavilions, playground equipment, tennis courts and more.
Below are downloadable maps of parks around the city to help you plan your adventure.
The Parklands will include four major parks linked by a park drive, a first-rate urban trail system and a remarkable water trail, all tracing Floyds Fork, a classic Kentucky stream. Construction on the two southern parks began July 3, 2013, and they are scheduled to open in 2015.
